H&D Digital Twin Industries AB has introduced RF tags for indoor positioning within private 5G networks, specifically tailored for Swedish and European hospitals. Launched at the Mobile World Congress, these RF tags help track critical materials and workflows by creating digital twins through ID tagging of hospital equipment. They support RTLS services like asset and fleet management, and process flow, allowing real-time tracking of hospital equipment and beds. Part of the BOX711 family, these tags aim to enhance patient safety, operational efficiency, and staff productivity while reducing costs and improving data security. The launch is driven by advancements in 5G-SA infrastructure for private networks, which offer enhanced security and performance over traditional systems like DECT and Wi-Fi, with no running costs for data transfer. The 5G private networks also provide superior indoor positioning capabilities compared to GPS. The Box711 product is already implemented in several RTLS projects in Sweden, with more details to follow.
H&D Digital Twin Industries AB has launched RF tags for indoor positioning in private 5G networks at the Mobile World Congress. These tags are optimized for hospital environments in Sweden and Europe, allowing for tracking of critical materials and workflows by creating digital twins through equipment ID tagging within strategic infrastructure. The RF tags support services such as asset management, fleet management, and process flow, which in hospitals means tracking critical equipment, vehicles, beds, and stretchers indoors. The tags are part of the BOX711 family at HDT. The solution aims to improve patient safety, operational efficiency, reduce costs, provide insights from flow reports, enhance staff productivity, support medical waste management processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and improve data security. The product launch is driven by new technology within the 5G-SA infrastructure for private networks being rolled out in strategic operations in Sweden and Europe. Private 5G networks offer advantages over DECT, Wi-Fi, and other local communication systems, uniting them with mobile system benefits, and providing improved security and performance. Cost-wise, private 5G networks have the same advantage as DECT and Wi-Fi, with no variable costs for subscriptions or data transfer. Additionally, 5G private networks are harder to disrupt compared to GPS and function effectively for indoor positioning of equipment and personnel. The Box711 product is already used in several RTLS projects in Swedish regions investing in private 5G networks.
