Shareholders of Bayanat AI PLC and Al Yah Satellite Communications Company P.J.S.C. (Yahsat) have approved a merger to create SPACE42, an AI-powered space technology company based in the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region. The merger, proposed in December 2023, is expected to be effective by mid-2024. SPACE42 will combine Bayanat’s Geospatial AI capabilities with Yahsat’s satellite communications capabilities to create new space-based services. The new entity aims to offer an expanded scope of services, utilize economies of scale, and improve profitability. The merger is in line with the National Space Strategy 2030 and the National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031. SPACE42 is expected to become one of the world's most valuable publicly listed space companies.

The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange has reported that BAYANAT AI PLC held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday, 25 April 2024, at 3:00 pm UAE time. The meeting took place both at the company’s headquarters and virtually. The results and resolutions from the AGM have been attached. The report was signed off by Hasan Ahmed Al Hosani, the Managing Director of BAYANAT AI PLC.

The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) has approved the listing of Agility Global PLC under the symbol AGILITY and the ISIN AEE01376A248 as of May 2, 2024, within the Industrials sector. The equity book value of Agility Global PLC's share is around AED 1.88 per share, making the total equity book value of the company approximately AED 19.6 billion. The listing is a technical listing with no set starting trading price, with the reference price set at AED 0.37 for each share of Agility Global. The company will publish Equity Reports and the official prospectus of the listing to provide financial information for investors. There will be no additional impact from this news other than what has been previously disclosed.

On April 25, 2024, the Islamic Arab Insurance Company PSC – SALAMA held a general assembly meeting at their headquarters in Dubai and virtually. The meeting was chaired by H.E. Saeed Alhajeri, with a quorum of 53.7487% of the total attendance. Decisions made include the appointment of Mr. Khaled Barakat as the AGM secretary and Mr. Mohamed Shaaban as a vote collector. The Al Yah Satellite Communications Company held its Annual General Assembly Meeting on 25 April 2024, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., both in person in Abu Dhabi and virtually. The meeting, chaired by H.E. Musabbeh Helal Musabbeh Ali Al Kaabi, had a quorum of 70.5%. The attendees approved the Board of Directors' report on the company's activities and its financial position for 2023, the external auditor’s report, and the company's balance sheet and profit and loss account for 2023. They also approved a final cash dividend of AED 200,793,093 and an interim dividend, making the total cash dividend AED 401,586,186 for 2023. A payment of AED 6,500,000 to the Board of Directors as remuneration for 2023 was approved, and the Board was discharged from liability for their 2023 activities.
