Xer Technologies Expands X8 Capabilities with Gotonomi Partnership

Sammanfattning

Xer Technologies AG and Gotonomi have partnered to integrate satellite connectivity into the X8 multicopter, enhancing its operational capabilities for remote environments.
Xer Technologies AG partners with Gotonomi to enhance X8 multicopter with satellite connectivity, enabling BVLOS operations in remote areas.

In a strategic move poised to redefine operational capabilities in remote and connectivity-constrained environments, Xer Technologies AG has announced a partnership with Gotonomi. This collaboration integrates the Gotonomi Velaris Multi-Link satellite module into the Xer X8 long-endurance multicopter, marking a significant advancement in drone technology.

The integration of Gotonomi's satellite module expands the X8's operational range by enabling reliable command and control beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS), a critical feature for operations in areas where traditional radio and mobile networks fall short. The X8 multicopter, already known for its impressive 2.5-hour flight time, will now offer extended mission durations, making it an invaluable asset in demanding environments.

The Gotonomi Velaris Multi-Link module, leveraging Viasat's L-band network, ensures resilient satellite connectivity with automatic LTE failover, encrypted command and control, onboard computing, and integrated GNSS. Despite the addition of this module, the system maintains its flight performance, with a total weight of approximately 480g, including the omnidirectional antenna.

This enhanced capability is expected to attract operators across the energy, infrastructure, and government sectors, offering a solution compatible with PDRA-G01 and SAIL II frameworks, subject to BVLOS authorizations. As Erik Herlyn, CEO of Xer Technologies AG, stated, 'Connectivity has long been the limiting factor for true BVLOS operations. Integrating satellite connectivity into the X8 removes this barrier, enabling reliable operations in remote and connectivity-constrained environments.'

The partnership between Xer Technologies and Gotonomi is a forward-looking initiative that promises to unlock new opportunities for drone applications in various sectors. With the market for drone technology continually expanding, this development positions Xer Technologies favorably for future growth.

Given the strategic nature of this partnership and the potential for increased demand in the sectors targeted by this technology, the recommendation for investors is to buy. The enhanced capabilities of the X8 multicopter are likely to drive increased adoption and revenue growth for Xer Technologies in the coming years.
